Welcome to Let's Chat Gippsland
“Let’s Chat Gippsland” is a community campaign which began as part of the annual 16 Days of Activism initiatives.
Conversations for Change
“Let’s Chat Gippsland” is focused on the primary prevention of violence against women.

The campaign highlights the significant difference conversations can make - whether at home, work, sport, schools and within the wider community - in shifting mindsets, attitudes, and creating real change for gender equality.

What is Let’s Chat Gippsland?

“Let’s Chat Gippsland” is a community campaign that began as part of the annual international United Nations (UN) 16 Days of Activism initiative that runs from the 25 November to 10 December each year.

This is the third year that communities have come together to collectively celebrate the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, also known as the 16 Days of Activism (16DoA).

What Do We Hope to Achieve

We want to make sure that everyone in Gippsland understands what the 16 Days of Activism is about and how they can get involved to help prevent gendered violence in Gippsland.

Why is this Important?

As Gippslanders, we all want to feel safe and valued for what we contribute to society.

We want our homes, schools, workplaces, sports clubs, pubs and churches to be places where everyone feels safe.

How Can I Get Involved?

Anglicare 16 Days of Activism Art Exhibition

The Art work is representative of each woman’s and child’s strength, resilience and their unification of activism to end violence against women and children globally. The work is currently on display and will remain throughout the 16 Days of Activism global campaign 25th November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) through to 10th December (Human Rights Day).
